i gave up on translating anything to slovenian using launchpad,
at least until the complete brokennes of ubuntu sl translations
is demonstrated to be fixed. since almost forever all the plural forms
are mixed up unpredictably (ex. "v smeteh je 7 predmeti") and sometimes
unrelated similar phrases get merged ("filename" ~ "ime barve").
compare this with perhaps less complete but much more correct
translations in debian.
the interface also lacked a search function last time i checked and
even a way to jump to a certain page of strings within a module.
so trying to fix these errors within it was guaranteed to rob the
of their sanity. and with the next release they would break again!
so i suggest using some local tool - simple text editor or kbabel or
and submitting it to OSM / JOSM svn directly or to this list. this
control all the process and mistakes will at least be your own, not the
borked toolchain fault.
i havent figured out yet what the best way is to report these issues
to ubuntu. it seems noone has gone to fight this windmill yet.
by chance i had the privilege to pester mako hill briefly about it this
weekend at the icommons summit and he wasnt sure either, but did
confirm that no bugs are being tracked about this yet. so i am cc-ing
him, jono and luka cehovin in this mail. hope this helps to find out.
