No it doesn't. You just need a config file in the same syntax
specifying the layers as is currently necessary. You can even call
it tirex.conf if you want to.<br>

It is loaded by the directive "LoadConfigFile" in the apache site
config file, and is already used to specify the mod_tile layers.<br>

If one chooses to use the "AddTileConfig" or "AddTileMimeConfig"
directives in the Apache site config instead, it will fall back to
hopefully sensible values. But the Apache config syntax isn't
complex enough to specify all of the parameters necessary.<br>

But if someone has better ideas of how to configure this then let me
