<br>As a sidenote you shouldn't use the simplify way functions on other stuff on <a href="http://osm.org" target="_blank">osm.org</a> than those that you entered yourself (IMHO), or in other words, use it with great caution (it will most probably create more harm then well if the mapping was sensible before). It will remove nodes that create very gentle curves / minor deviations from straight lines that do exist also in reality, etc and will eliminate fine detail that should be there instead. Please be aware that this function (douglas-peucker-algorithm) isn't aware of angles but only of delta distances (causing it to "fail" in the case of very sharp curves for instance).<br>
