We currently have addresses around the world that we would like to geocode. Is there a specific pattern, or part of the address that will return the most accurate data? We have tried the full address but most of the time it did not return any data. I also noticed that the geocoder does not like Canadian zip codes; I have tried passing it just a zip code and it did not return any data however passing it just the address and city returned valid data.

Any insight would help,
Marko

From: "Brian Quinion" <openstreetmap@brian.quinion.co.uk>
To: "Marko Iskander" <miskander@mimsoftware.com>
Cc: geocoding@openstreetmap.org, "Emily Warren" <ewarren@mimsoftware.com>
Sent: Monday, January 17, 2011 11:15:55 AM
Subject: Re: [Geocoding] Problem with geocoding some addresses

Hi,

> I was trying to use the geocoding service to geocode the following address,
> but I am getting a very weird error.
