Yes, sure. If you use CH do before the import:<br>
hopper.setCHShortest("shortest")<br>
// on master this is called setCHWeighting<br>

if you use GH without CH you can change this per request<br>
ghRequest.setWeighting("shortest")<br>

What you are after are probably more 'alternative routes', this is
not yet included but will at some point (and in some dev branch if
you need more details)<br>

Is it possible to ask GraphHopper to find the absolute shortest

The sensible road takes highways that go through Lyon, Nice and
Milan.<br>
But the shortest road takes the dirt roads that cross the Alpes.<br>
