My name is Sharbel and I’m a senior in CS. I’ve worked with OpenStreetMap data during one of my data structures classes and I was really interested in contributing sometime in the future.<br>

<br>

Then I found out about GSoC. But one thing that confuses me is that OSM requires that I have contributed before to participate, but Google’s initiative was to help new contributors, not current ones.<br>

Is there any chance a new contributor like myself can participate still? It doesn’t have to be part of GSoC.<br>
