in the Bronx. it did help me locate the picture quickly.<br>

ok, that takes care of the Polo Grounds and the rough location of

board track, but a review of America's Speedways shows that<br>
there was a 1/4 mile dirt oval in the Polo Grounds in the early 40s<br>
and a 1/4 mile paved oval (!?) for a time after the Giants moved to<br>
SF. and so, a new research problem.<br>
