sort of. i was a member of the founding board for OSM US and for
that
reason a fairly close spectator. Kate was the first president, and
she was
pushing HOT and OSM US through the early stages of 501(c)3 status
at the time.
that was why both HOT and OSM US went with DC, there were
DC residents (Kate in particular) involved in founding both
organizations.

the agent thing is important; boards turn over. there may come
a time when there aren't any board members living where the
organization is incorporated.

i can't speak to incorporating in other countries, i've never done
that. i have no idea what the tradeoffs are.
4) there are bylaws issues. OSM US is going to have
to revise their bylaws to finish the process. i am not
report back? Who are you working with there?

i know all of the board, but my time on the board overlapped
with Martijn by one year (he succeeded me as president) and
he's the member i talk to most often. i'll ask him what's up.
