[HOT] HOT activities needing volunteers ?

I am considering proposing some French consultancies I work with to
donate some work time to the HOT activities. But I don't know if such
work time could be made any useful to the HOT. Would you help me
identifying areas (if any) where this could be made useful ?

Here are the characteristics of the volunteers (employees) these firms
might donate. The volunteers would :

1) represent about a couple of full-time equivalents to start with (more
later if successful)

2) work full-time during a couple of weeks or months, during the period
of time between two successive customer assignments (which is called
"bench time"/"beach time" in the services/consulting industry)

3) stop their individual intervention without notice or delay, as soon
as they are assigned back to some lucrative customer assignment (this
would be a lower priority assignment for their employer)

4) start without any knowledge about GIS, humanitarian work or OSM

5) speak French and some technical English (no fluency)

6) have the professional skills of an employee of an Information
Technology firm (for instance : ERP consultant, AS/400 developer,
hotline manager, management consultant, ... but almost no web developer)

7) be located anywhere in France and be operating remotely

8) be equipped with some specific collaborative tools if needed (issue
tracker, wiki, mailing list, CMS, ...) which I provide

9) be assisted by me (and you whenever possible) on a daily basis

More information available in French here http://www.wecena.com/apropos
or just ask.

Is some match possible between such volunteers and the real needs and
priorities of the HOT/OSM community ? Or does it rather deserve a "No
thanks" from your side ? What do you think ?

Thanks.
