<pre>Hi,
With a hurricane watch issued for all of Haiti for tropical storm Isaac,
this might be as good a time as any to remind that some of the damage
caused by the redaction bot over Haiti (and the Dominican Republic)
remains to be fixed, following up on Jaakko's email from a month ago
(<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://lists.openstreetmap.org/pipermail/talk-ht/2012-July/000538.html">http://lists.openstreetmap.org/pipermail/talk-ht/2012-July/000538.html</a>).
For example, if you currently ask for a route from Port-au-Prince to
Léogâne on OSRM, here is what you get:
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://map.project-osrm.org/1bi">http://map.project-osrm.org/1bi</a>
(Because of this tiny "hole" in Nationale 2 :
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://map.project-osrm.org/1bh">http://map.project-osrm.org/1bh</a> ) <a class="moz-txt-link-rfc2396E" href="http://map.project-osrm.org/1bh"><http://map.project-osrm.org/1bh></a>
For another example, if you try to reach Anse-à-Pitre, you will be told
that no route is possible.
Of course, in both cases, reality on the ground is different.
(And it is even worse for DR).
The wiki page about remapping is here :
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Remapping">https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Remapping</a>
including a link to the rebuild tasking manager, and in particular:
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://rebuild.poole.ch/job/20">http://rebuild.poole.ch/job/20</a>
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://rebuild.poole.ch/job/19">http://rebuild.poole.ch/job/19</a>
Best wishes,
Jean-Guilhem
