Hi all,

It is great to see the community coordinating to respond to Haiyan. While the Philippines is badly (sadly) hit, the storm is still moving and is now affecting Central Vietnam and possibly will hit Laos. Those are areas with weak mapping community but nonetheless, even if Hayian is weakening to Category 1 and Tropical Storm, I think it would be great if a few people from the community started to map also those areas with very little data.

As of 10AM Nov 10, I think it has been confirmed that Provinces of Hai Phong and Thanh Binh were hit as the storm changes direction. I am not sure if I should create a new task for the other areas but any suggestion on where to start is most welcome.
Many thanks for your help.
Maybe it could also help plan OSM mapping?
(Of course, the severely affected areas are much broader than the
highlighted strip).
Best wishes,
