Pierre, merci beaucoup pour ta proposition. I started exactly as you
propose, in principle following the tagging guide line in the wiki.
<br>
<br>
Does it make sense to tag "small" areas with "flood_prone"? Maybe
the whole area is flood prone during rainfall events. We don't know
how old the water is. Is it ground water? Was it raining a few days
before? I think it's in the middle of a desert... <br>
<br>
Checking the available Bing imagery
(<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://mvexel.dev.openstreetmap.org/bingimageanalyzer/#">http://mvexel.dev.openstreetmap.org/bingimageanalyzer/#</a>) I found
that the images are mainly from Aug/2010 - Oct/2011. According to:
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://de.climate-data.org/location/766672/">http://de.climate-data.org/location/766672/</a> it seems (more or less)
reasonable that the images might have been during a rainy time.<br>
<br>
So my point is: Isn't there the possibility that we see much more
water than there is "in reality"? It might even be very seldom that
flooding occurs... <br>
<br>
Is there any possibility to get IR channel imagery of Bing or
someone else with high enough resolution? Maybe we could use them to
distinguish deep water wells from shallow (and temporarily) flooded
zones? <br>
