<p dir="ltr">It depends on the local usage of the data. For example in programs that us InaSAFE to measure the impact of a disaster the buildings are actually turned into points prior to the analysis. </p>
<p dir="ltr">People should map as accurately as they can, but if mapping buildings as points is the best you can do and works for how the data will be used then no problem. If someone else needs outlines they can always "upgrade" the mapping later.</p>
