<div dir="ltr"><div><div><div><div>Since it was the intent of this transport company to open their data under a free license, I'm in the process of asking them to give Openstreetmap explicit permission to redistribute their data under ODBL, which should clear that hurdle. I wasn't aware it's just a matter of time before CC-BY-SA becomes compatible with ODBL.<br>
<br>That conversation is conducted in French, of course, since that is what people speak in the southern part of Belgium. If they are favourable to the idea, where do I document/upload this permission?<br><br></div>Anyway I'm a technical guy. I did my part by clearing the path,performing the conversion of the data so it becomes suitable for import into OSM.<br>

It is not quite so simple. CC could declare the ODbL a compatible<br>
licence. Work is under way on that, BUT it hasn't happened yet. With<br>
other words: the import cannot happen as this point in time and will<br>
have to wait.<br>
