The source data is provided by the State of Virginia via the Virginia Geographic Information Network (VGIN) under a compatible license for import. There’s around 49,000 buildings, most of which include an address and building type. This import has been discussed on the OSM Slack Virginia channel with pre-review of the available sample data and I anticipate local mapper support with the import process.
