<div>sacred=yes in turn loses info about marking on a tree (that, as far as I understood,<br></div><div>is both mandatory and verifiable part of tree being a Zapis tree)<br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>Feb 12, 2021, 11:54 by imports@openstreetmap.org:<br></div><blockquote class="tutanota_quote" style="border-left: 1px solid #93A3B8; padding-left: 10px; margin-left: 5px;"><div>Hello everybody,<br></div><div class=""><div><br></div><div class="">I also find these Zapis-Trees very interesting. <br></div><div class=""><br></div><div class="">Dealing with history and archaeology I learned that there are a lot of phenomena in nature considered as sacred by the local population, heritage etc. Despite trees these might be springs, rocks, rock shelters, special locations at rivers and others. For this reason zapis=yes imho is too specific and following Mateusz argument I would propose something like sacred=yes as a more generic tag.<br></div><div class=""><br></div><div class="">Best,<br></div><div class=""><div>Arne<br></div><div><div><br></div><blockquote class="" type="cite"><div class="">Am 12.02.2021 um 10:53 schrieb Mateusz Konieczny via Imports <<a class="" href="mailto:imports@openstreetmap.org" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">imports@openstreetmap.org</a>>:<br></div><div><br></div><div class=""><div class=""><div class="">Thanks for posting here!<br></div><div class=""><br></div><div class="">Interesting topic, I learned something new what is always nice :)<br></div><div class=""><br></div><div class="">As far as I can see everything is done well (though I am unfamiliar with topic<br></div><div class="">and language and relied on google translate)<br></div><div class=""><br></div><div class="">It is definitely an import of a dataset, so it is good that you posted here!<br></div><div class=""><br></div><div class="">I am unsure about, maybe some more generic tag would be better,<br></div><div class="">maybe not.<br></div><div class=""><br></div><div class="">But if you end using zapis=yes - can you document it on <br></div><div class="">OSM Wiki? I got interested in Zapis some time ago ( sacred tree in<br></div><div class="">Serbia [1], [2] ). I found there is a team here in Serbia trying to<br></div><div class="">identify trees. One of their projects was done with Wikimedia Serbia -<br></div><div class="">local Wikipedia organisation [3]. I reached out to the author and got<br></div><div class="">permission to use data for mapping inside OSM.<br></div><div class="">I created a project page [4] and discussed the project locally. My<br></div><div class="">intention is to go manually over the provided dataset, compare data (<br></div><div class="">location, description, images ) with current state and satellite<br></div><div class="">imagery and add trees in OSM. Initially only ones with wikipedia /<br></div><div class="">wikidata would be added / updated, around 600 trees. I would apply<br></div><div class="">standard tagging for trees with addition of zapis=yes. Some of the<br></div><div class="">trees are protected by the government and already in OSM.<br></div><div class=""><br></div><div class="">I would appreciate any feedback and let me know if more information is needed.<br></div><div class=""><br></div><div class="">Best,<br></div><div class="">Vanja<br></div><div class=""><br></div><div class="">[1] (english) <a class="" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zapis" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zapis</a><br></div><div class="">[2] (english) <a class="" href="http://www.pmf.kg.ac.rs/KJS/volumes/kjs29/kjs29cvetkovicbrankovic107.pdf" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">http://www.pmf.kg.ac.rs/KJS/volumes/kjs29/kjs29cvetkovicbrankovic107.pdf</a><br></div><div class="">[3] (serbian) <a class="" href="https://rs.wikimedia.org/wiki/Пројекат:Запис_-_Свето_дрво" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">https://rs.wikimedia.org/wiki/Пројекат:Запис_-_Свето_дрво</a><br></div><div class="">[4] (serbian) <a class="" href="https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Serbia/Projekti/Mapiranje_zapisa" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Serbia/Projekti/Mapiranje_zapisa</a><br></div><div class=""><br></div><div class="">_______________________________________________<br></div><div class="">Imports mailing list<br></div><div class=""><a class="" href="mailto:Imports@openstreetmap.org" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Imports@openstreetmap.org</a><br></div><div class=""><a class="" href="https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/imports" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/imports</a><br></div></blockquote><div class=""><br></div></div><div>_______________________________________________<br></div><div>Imports mailing list<br></div><div><a class="" href="mailto:Imports@openstreetmap.org" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Imports@openstreetmap.org</a><br></div><div>https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/imports<br></div></div></blockquote></div></div></div></blockquote><div><br></div> </body>
