<div dir="auto">Hello,<br></div>
<div dir="auto">I am preparing a one time import of Addresses and
Buildings for Augusta County, VA. My goal for this import is to improve
routing and navigation.<br><br></div>
<div dir="auto">I will be using <a href="https://hub.arcgis.com/datasets/VGIN::virginia-address-points/about" target="_blank">VGIN Virginia Address Points</a> for addresses, and <a href="https://github.com/microsoft/USBuildingFootprints" target="_blank">Microsoft/BuildingFootprints </a>for building outlines. <br><br></div>
<div dir="auto">VGIN data is licensed under Public Domain;<br></div>
<div dir="auto">Microsoft/BuildingFootprints is licensed as <a href="https://opendatacommons.org/licenses/odbl/" target="_blank">ODbL</a>. <br><br></div>
<div dir="auto">I have split the address data by zip code as SHP files.
Yet for me to figure out, is if I can modify the data fields in SHP with
QGIS, or export the SHP vector to CSV where I can format the data for
OSM.<br><br></div>
<div dir="auto">My plan is to import one zip code at a time. I will be
using JOSM, and using the review plugin, so this will be a manual
import, not automated. (I don't know how to do that) <br><br></div>
<div dir="auto">This has been discussed in Slack on <a href="https://osmus.slack.com/archives/CA9RX1PPS" target="_blank">#Local-Virginia</a> and <a href="https://osmus.slack.com/archives/C201EQPT5/p1652555189377199?thread_ts=1652555189.377199&cid=C201EQPT5" target="_blank">#Import</a>s.<br><br></div>
<div dir="auto">Here is the <a href="https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Augusta_county,_Virginia,_Address_and_Building_import" target="_blank">wiki</a>; and import <a href="https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Import/Catalogue" target="_blank">catalog</a>. <br><br></div>
<div dir="auto">Many thanks to @OptikalCrow on Local-Virginia, and
others on imports and reddit for helping direct me to proper way of
documenting my desired imports.<br><br></div>
<div dir="auto">I welcome comments.<br></div>
<div dir="auto">Thank you. </div>
