I have set up a local OSM database and I'd like to start populating it with coastlines, public domain streets etc. I can then release the result to public domain and upload it to the new file repository.<br><br>What would be the best approach to start populating it?<br>
<br>1. Start from scratch, importing data from public coastline sources and TIGER and other public sources<br>  + no holes in data (touched by SA contributors)<br>  + data quality could be improved (TIGER with house numbers etc)<br>
  - several sources -> a lot work?<br>  - less data than currently in OSM<br>2. Import data from OSM without SA contributed data<br>  + only one data source<br>  - quality of data cannot be improved<br>  - holes in data (SA contributors)<br>
