It's easier to write "data" than "copyright and database right on databases" but you're right and sloppy shorthand is misleading so I apologize. :-)<br></blockquote><div><br>BY-SA almost certainly applies to the OSM database as a whole, even if it doesn't apply to some individual parts of the database.
