Hello,<br><br>The Philippine OpenStreetMap community is planning to incorporate a non-profit organization within this year (independent and not as part of any existing organization). We already have selected the incorporators and are now preparing the papers. We're not sure yet if we will pursue having a local chapter agreement with OSMF. It all depends on how things work out at the Local Chapters WG.<br>
<br>Speaking for myself, I'm glad that the old draft federated organization agreement was thrown out since it has some problematic issues. Regarding the new direction, the points mentioned in the Feb 12 minutes look good so far and are more in line with how I personally see local chapers would be related to OSMF. Basically, I quite like how the Wikimedia Foundation works with their Wikimedia chapters. (I know that OSMF is a member org and WMF is not, but putting aside the issue of local chapter members being members or not of OSMF, the fact that OSMF is a member organization should be irrelevant to the relationship between OSMF and the local chapters.)<br clear="all">
