Hello everybody,

I'm the "cuplrit" of the situation and if there is any way
I can help you, please let me know!

As I've already explained to Stefano that my domain (smz.it)
DMARC policy was strictly enforcing SPF and thus mail sent from
shenron.openstreetmap.org on my behalf was rejected and apparently
that caused quite a mess (which I'm sorry for...).

I myself mange several mailman based mailing lists and the only
way I've so far found to fix the issue is to activate the
"Reply-to munging" option in the list "General" configuration:
with that option active the sender of redistributed messages is
altered to the mailing list address itself (as a by-effect that
also makes easier to reply to the list and not just to the OP...).

When that option is active messages sent through the mailing list
will have the "From:" field altered so that it will appear as
something like:

"From: Sergio Manzi via openstreetmap list - italiano
<talk-it@openstreetmap.org>"

... and the "Reply-To" field will be set as:

"Reply-To: Sergio Manzi <smz@smz.it>, openstreetmap list
- italiano <talk-it@openstreetmap.org>"

... and that will ensure that my DMARC policy will not be
considered for messages relayed by the list.

In the meanwhile I've made my DMARC permissive (p=none) and added
shenron.openstreetmap.org in my SPF configuration, but I lean to
consider this just a temporary solution, until the issue is
addressed in a more definitive way.

Again, please let me know if I can be of any help...

Regards,

Sergio Manzi
