[Merkaartor] Okay to add more map icons as svn:externals?

Hi,

I would like to add more map icons to Merkaartor, at least to the mapnik
style theme (possibly to an extra mapnik-more-icons theme if it affects
performance too much or clutters the map).

For this, is anyone against adding another svn:externals directory for
http://trac.openstreetmap.org/browser/applications/share/map-icons/,
similar to the one we are using for the mapnik icons? The icons above
come from gpsdrive and likely are not completely in sync anymore, but
it's probably safer to refer to an osm.org URI instead of gpsdrive.de if
possible. Also, the syncing can be done by us if needed.

So... does anyone have reasons against that?
