I'll try out a Debug build then, I guess. Maybe it's faster this time
without VMware... I'll see if crashes still occur then. From my limited
recent experience with C++ apps, debug builds seem far more resistent to
memory corruption and sometimes don't crash when a release build would
reproducible.
