Great. I already thought something like this, reading all the
XML-related code. My first idea was pasting everything in the centre of
the viewport, so before pasting, you had to pan the map. But it would
probably be difficult to handle and explain. So maybe pressing the Paste
button could change the mouse cursor just like Create Node does, and
clicking on the map then inserts the clipboard contents at that place.
(Not snapping to nodes or anything because we're not inserting a node at
the click point but a complex object instead.) Maybe the future object
could even be displayed while moving the mouse, in a dashed or
semi-transparent (50% opacity) way, so that you could place it even more
precisely.
