I've made it an optional extension (controlled through GEOIMAGE) and
have broken the 1-line if's up into two lines.<br>

@Chris: I can't reproduce your segfault. Your image works like my own
images (unfortunately I haven't got images taken on a track, I just
tried it with manually edited exiv tags, like you)<br>

Yes, it is available for mac. The big thing is to make it an optional
dependency like you mentioned in point 1.
