Hello, fellow Linux user, having the same problem as me. JOSM kept
wanting to extend a road when I wanted a new road?
I only had 2 choices from the drop down box so I picked Meta.
Here's the detailed steps.
I clicked on
Control Center from the menu this brought up KDE Control Center
Then the second option down on the left menu was Desktop
Clicking on the plus sign expanded a sub menu.
Then I clicked on Window Behavior (fifth one down)
This brought up a tabbed window
The third tab to the right is Window Actions
In the drop down box beside Modifier Key (forth drop down menu box down)
I changed if from ALT to Meta (the only other choice)
Once you make the change, the Apply button will illuminate in the bottom
right. You can now hit Apply and the File and Quit.
P.S. I'm NO expert. I've only been using JOSM for about 1 week and it's
driving me crazy.
I'm creating a wiki page / Notes to my self on how JOSM works.
You can take a look here. This is a work in progress
