[OSM-newbies] Parking along streets - parking lanes?

This remembers me something I've always wanted to know.
Here on Rio de Janeiro, most streets have the left lane as a parking
lane, some residential have both the left and right lanes (only the
middle lane is used for traffic), and the avenues commonly have no
parking lanes. Those parking lanes go through the whole street but are
usually interrupted by spaces reserved to enter into garages, or rapid
stop to pharmacy/drug stores, or the space reserved to armored cars in
front of a bank.
So, how do we map those parking lanes?
