<div> If they are all "Reliance Way" then they should be tagged as such. The fact that current searches bring up a whole bunch of results is a problem for the search technology and should not impact on the way you tag ways.

Splitting ways into linear segments (i.e. no branches and/or loops) is seen as good practice (I think!) as it makes life easier for the renderers. However there is some debate on this (unless every way in OSM is done in this manner then the renderers still have to deal with it!).
