"Calibri","sans-serif";color:#1F497D'>When you upload data using JOSM it gets
added to the database straight away, but the tiles you see in Openstreetmap aren’t
instantly redrawn. The default mapnik layer gets updated weekly on about
Wednesday. The one you’d best look at for quicker rerendering is the Osmarender
layer, but even this isn’t updated instantly. I believe it picks up all changes
at intervals of every couple of hours and adds the changed areas to a request
queue for re-rendering. Clients running Tiles@Home service the requests in the
queue and rerender the tiles uploading the results. How quick each tile gets
rerendered depends therefore on both the complexity of the area and the speed
of the client doing the rendering.

priority 2, so above all the missing tiles requests shown at priority 4.

href="http://www.informationfreeway.org/">http://www.informationfreeway.org/
- if you zoom to the area you have changed at information freeway at zoom level
12, you can press r to add the area to the rerender queue at the previous link
quicker than waiting for it to be picked up by the scheduled check. It’s best
not to do this too often though. I tend to do it when I’ve done quite a lot of
changes, and know I’ve finished for the day and just want to check the results.

Hello,

i am an absolutely newbie. My first
question is how to upload data to OSM.

I collected date and imported them to JOSM, then I
downloaded the existing date from OSM-Server and drawed the nodes. Now I tried
to upload the data to OSM server, but nothing happened since nearly 2 hours.

I also can’t upload my gps trace to OSM with the
web-interface, it returns an error. My trace isn’t in correct format.

How long I have to wait until the data is integrated in OSM
database when I use JOSM or how can I put the traces in correct format to
upload on OSM?
