I think there has to be a clear distinction made between <br>
<br>
- donations (potentially earmarked) - where I would have issues
with anything going over a thank you in the form of a blog post,
we shouldn't forget that we have hundreds of individuals that have
in relative terms donated far more than any company in the history
of the OSMF (and I'm talking about cash here, not data
contributions)<br>
<br>
- sponsorship - essentially a tit for tat, what for example we do
at SOTM with clearly defined packages, could also be project
orientated<br>
<br>
- membership - you might get to participate on voting who is on
the board, but otherwise this would probably boil down to a
special mention and discounts for events<br>
<br>
When we internally discussed extending the donation drive that we
just closed, defining exactly what kind of level of donation gets
you a blog post etc. was one of the topics. If we go in to
continuous fund raising mode we would undoubtedly publish such a
list.<br>
