American television legal and political
drama television series are usually of an excellent quality. They
created by teams of talented screenplay writers, directors,
actors. The latest most modern cameras and lightening equipment
are used.
Evolution formed human brains in such a way that we are to make a
decision (or judgement) very fast and trust it completely (for
example if an ancient human saw a predator he/she did not have
much time to think about it). This is demonstrated well by the
famous Müller-Lyer illusion [1].

No matter how many time one tells himself that the lines are of
the equal length the Müller-Lyer optical illusion persists. There
are numerous similar optical-cognitive illusions.

The American legal and political system may seem to us perfect,
based on impressive films and TV series, but in fact it is not.
Here is what the American people themselves think about it:
"Gallup poll, September 2015. Majority of Americans See Congress
as Out of Touch, Corrupt" [2], "75% in U.S. See Widespread
Government Corruption" [3], etc.

I am not trying to bash the US legal system at all, I just want to
tell that it is just one of the many in the world. That it has got
its own share of issues and problems, the same as others.
