As these are only informational not statutory accounts this is not a very serious matter, but it would be nice to see a more conventional B/s in the future.<br></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1481289051254_91992"><br></div><div dir="ltr" id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1481289051254_91838">At least in part this is because the "Period" column does not represent accounting balances, but I presume movements in the balances (which is effectively what the P&L should be). I'd much prefer this report to show balances at prior year end and balances at the end of the current reporting period (here 30th September), and to avoid the term 'year-to-date' as the balance sheet is a snapshot not a cumulative value.</div><div dir="ltr" id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1481289051254_92176"><br></div><div dir="ltr" id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1481289051254_92266">I also have a query about depreciation of servers etc. A total amount of depreciation of around £75k shows in the B/s, but £0 for Q3Y16. I seem to remember that differences in the timing of acquisition of hardware, depreciation and donation drives made last years figures difficult to compare with previous years. So my questions are a) How and when the depreciation is applied? and b) Could depreciation be applied on a monthly straight line basis over the asset lifetime and thus hopefully even out some of the peaks & troughs seen in the accounts?<br></div><div dir="ltr" id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1481289051254_92093"><br></div><div dir="ltr" id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1481289051254_92109">Another minor point "£ Sterling" not "£ Stirling".<br></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1481289051254_91658"><span></span></div><div class="qtdSeparateBR" id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1481289051254_91615">Jerry<br><br></div><div class="yahoo_quoted" id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1481289051254_92520" style="display: block;"> <blockquote style="border-left: 2px solid rgb(16, 16, 255); margin-left: 5px; margin-top: 5px; padding-left: 5px;" id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1481289051254_92519"> <div style="font-family: HelveticaNeue, Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Arial, Lucida Grande, Sans-Serif; font-size: 16px;" id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1481289051254_92518"> <div style="font-family: HelveticaNeue, Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Arial, Lucida Grande, Sans-Serif; font-size: 16px;" id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1481289051254_92517"> <div dir="ltr" id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1481289051254_92516"> <font id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1481289051254_92559" size="2" face="Arial"> <hr size="1"> <b><span style="font-weight:bold;">From:</span></b> Frederik Ramm <frederik@remote.org><br> <b><span style="font-weight: bold;">To:</span></b> "osmf-talk@openstreetmap.org" <osmf-talk@openstreetmap.org> <br> <b><span style="font-weight: bold;">Sent:</span></b> Friday, 9 December 2016, 13:23<br> <b><span style="font-weight: bold;">Subject:</span></b> [Osmf-talk] Treasurer's report for tomorrow's AGM<br> </font> </div> <div class="y_msg_container"><br>Hi,<br><br> in advance of tomorrow's AGM, here's a human-readable financial<br>report covering the full 2015 business year and the first three quarters<br>of 2016:<br><br><a href="https://wiki.osmfoundation.org/wiki/Finances/Treasurer%27s_Report_for_the_December_2016_AGM" target="_blank">https://wiki.osmfoundation.org/wiki/Finances/Treasurer%27s_Report_for_the_December_2016_AGM</a><br><br>I'm happy to take questions here or at the meeting tomorrow.<br><br>Bye<br>Frederik<br><br>-- <br>Frederik Ramm ## eMail <a ymailto="mailto:frederik@remote.org" href="mailto:frederik@remote.org">frederik@remote.org</a> ## N49°00'09" E008°23'33"<br><br>_______________________________________________<br>osmf-talk mailing list<br><a ymailto="mailto:osmf-talk@openstreetmap.org" href="mailto:osmf-talk@openstreetmap.org">osmf-talk@openstreetmap.org</a><br><a href="https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/osmf-talk" target="_blank">https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/osmf-talk</a><br><br><br></div> </div> </div> </blockquote> </div></div></body></html>
