nothing against the 100 individually, but am deeply suspicious
of the motivations of Global Logic. While I may feel sympathy
to the 100 for possibly (almost certainly?) being manipulated,
and having lived in India for three years, I actually do have
sympathy for the many Indians who labor under unfeeling
management, I counsel my fellow OSMF members and the Board to
inquire as to what Global Logic intends and to take appropriate
action based on those intentions, not on concern for the 100.
If Global Logic should refuse to make its intentions clear, that
should be taken as a warning sign, and the 100 should have their
memberships annulled.

How might a proper respect for human dignity manifest itself in this discussion?

Lastly, I said it before - people work, they have jobs, and they contribute to OSM. I think the saddest part of this whole discussion is the lack of appreciate that we are talking about 100 human beings and company. 100 human beings. It seems to me this is getting lost in the notes.

Let me try to help: Many participants in this discussion talk about these 100 new members from India as if they were a kind of gambling chip in a power game, while in reality they are not "things" but human beings like yourself. Heather thinks it is sad (and I agree) that the concept of human dignity appears to have gotten out of sight in this discussion.
