My point is more that and this goes for the membership related
changes too, that there hasn't actually been a clear
recommendation from the board to actually accept the changes. They
have been discussed, but anybody not following the detailed
discussion would not know that the changes are actually something
the board is recommending to be accepted (if that is actually the
case).

Well forgive us for not running a TV advertising campaign but the set of
AoA changes has been developed by the board, discussed with the MWG,
published for comments on this list - these are suggestions put forward
by the board and the board hopes to get the necessary support for these
from the membership.
I realize that the fact this has been split up in a number of individual
votes instead of one huge "let's change all this" vote might come across
as lukewarm - as if we don't believe in our own suggestions. I can
assure you that this is not the case; however, we wanted to nip in the
bud any potential cries "they're trying to railroad us into buying the
whole package" - we hope that people will agree with everything we're
suggesting, but if they only agree with parts of what we're suggesting
then they can vote accordingly.
Bye
Frederik
