Regarding the content of the GitLab note cited above, OSM India
faces some specific hurdles peculiar to Indian law that will
make attainment of local chapter status more difficult than is
the case in most other countries. I have thus suggested to
others involved in the LCCWG's work that a dialog with OSM India
might lead to a solution to the problems OSM India faces in even
applying for local chapter status. If you see potential harm in
such a dialog, please state your concerns clearly to this list
so that we may take them into account.<br>
