Hmm. On the current
board, there are no Anglos, two Americans, and four Europeans. I
don't see Anglo-American cultural dominance on the OSMF Board.
The 2021 survey was conducted in 18 languages. I'm told that was
the largest array of languages ever used in an OSMF survey. Oh,
and by the way, the survey showed that the single largest
country represented in the community consists of Germans, and
the largest supranational contingent was of Europeans. The data
do not support your assertions on these scores.

As for transparency, I
doubt that the Board could ever meet unrealistic expectations of
total transparency. There will always be a need for closed-door
meetings. That said, OSMF's transparency is in fact increasing,
not decreasing, what with publication of notes of closed
meetings (at which decisions are not made), strengthening of the
conflict of interest rules, and an AoA change allowing inclusion
of non-Board members on committees for managing fund-raising,
the budget, and personnel. These changes grant greater
visibility into the workings of the Board and OSMF than before.
The Engineering Working Group has been revitalized, and a
Software Dispute Resolution Panel created--with its members
nominated by the volunteer working groups--taking the Board out
of the business of resolving disputes over iD presets. Again,
the data do not support your assertions on these scores.

external special interests are influencing OSMF actions and
decisions. Please provide examples. I cannot think of any.

superficially pave over the much deeper underlying structural problems
