<p><font face="Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif">Hi, Jorden, I am not a
lawyer but don't see an issue here. Acquisition (leasing, in
effect) of a domain name does not convey ownership of the
previous holder of that domain name, or of the previous holder's
work products. At least, not in any jurisdiction with which I'm
familiar. If it did, we'd all be trying to sneak into ownership
of gold mines, investment banks, and real estate agencies by
buying their expired domain names. If "Allan's New Dimestore"
were to lease and.com from ICANN, that wouldn't give me
ownership of the old AND or anything it generated (too bad,
huh?)</font></p>

OSM uitmaakt in wiens handen de domeinnaam and.com precies is.

Hello,
<br>
<br>
It isn't clear to me what exactly the problem is. This could be
because my grasp of the French language is insufficient (I read a
translation by deepl.com), but I fail to see what difference it
would make to OSM in whose hands the and.com domain name is. I
should note that I was unaware that they had changed names, but in
itself that shouldn't matter, right? Agreed, an archived version
of a document that could once be found on their website is
mentioned in passing, but that's a common occurrence. I don't
understand precisely what risk we're exposed to here, but that
could be my fault.

Bonjour,
<br>
<br>
domaine and.com.

P.S.: I sent this email in three different languages as a
courtesy. I would prefer that any further discussion on this
subject be held in English, but obviously I am in no position to
impose that on others...
