Great. So as a workaround one can do a pipe osm2pbf -> osmosis ?

Did someone try if the 4GB limit is also hitting when reading
the pfb.file in osmosis from a pipe?

Don't know if it's already possible in 0.38 to read pbf
from a pipe.
