<p>Neither does the zoom control.. it's white. Are you talking about the 2px by 20px (40 pixels!) 'significant' block of dark grey for the handle?</p>
<p>To be honest, wouldn't it be a better use of your time to patch up ugly parts of the site rather than nitpick a new improvement?</p>
<p>How about redesigning the Map Key? Or the horrid export UI? Or adding icons for the permalink functionality and making its interface more understandable? Or finally getting rid of that table padding in the inbox view? Or making icons for reply, mark as read, and delete in that view? Or fixing the map icons, like that red arrow for 'home'? Or helping push one of the many user page redesigns to success? Or improving history views and making osmchange links more obvious and well-designed?</p>
<p>That's not quite a complete list, sorry - it's off the top of my head, without actually looking at the site. But we can do better than this reactionary movement to every design tweak: there's real work to do.</p>
