<p>The problem is not actually related to the DOCTYPE change, it's that i18n-js is using Array.forEach which IE doesn't support until v9 - see <a href="https://github.com/fnando/i18n-js/issues/97" class="issue-link" title="IE does not support forEach ">fnando/i18n-js#97</a> for details...</p>
