<p>The two buttons <em>"Manually select a different area"</em> and <em>"Hide areas"</em> are hidden immediately after opening the tab.</p>

<p>Most likely, this is because of an (unconscious?) upgrade to jquery 1.9 which deprecated the usage of <code>.toggle(function, function)</code> (see jquery <a href="http://jquery.com/upgrade-guide/1.9/#toggle-function-function-removed">upgrade notes</a>) in the following file: app/assets/javascripts/index/browse.js (lines 72 and 75)</p>

<p>Maybe you should look for more occurrences of deprecated jquery calls in other parts of the code...</p>
