<p>Yes on closer inspections of past emails, the issue was later passed up to management team. A few more emails flew around they were generally ....undecided. But at that time the SOTM Scotland event was allowed to have a smaller banner in the days (like two days I think!) running up to their event.</p>
<p>All in all it looks like I'll have to re-open a discussion about this, and I think it might as well be a public discussion (nothing of the CWG and MT discussions needed to be private really) Github probably isn't the place for that. Maybe the underused <a href="http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/design">'design' mailing list</a>?</p>
<p>I do feel quite strongly though, that we shouldn't be slapping a large graphically intense banner ad on the OpenStreetMap front page three months ahead of this regional event</p>
