<p>Can you elaborate on the issue? This is just a normal <code><input type=text/></code>, not disabled or read-only in any way.</p>

<p>I've made it auto-select the text when clicked, so that makes it easier. There's currently no cross-browser way to copy text to the clipboard without using flash.</p>

<p>This is pretty far off from the intended use for the permalink -- I'd rather address it directly (along the lines of what <a href="https://github.com/tomhughes" class="user-mention">@tomhughes</a> has just suggested) rather than have it constrain the design of the sharing controls.</p>
