If that's the case, can you please link to open feature requests or other
<br>
areas that describe the ongoing design work, so that I can contribute?
<br>
<br>
IE the last two feature requests I've opened have been closed quite
<br>
quickly, which is in a fair amount of contrast to threads like
<br>
http://lists.openstreetmap.org/pipermail/talk/2013-July/067442.html; which
<br>
was a fairly positive dialog.
<br>
<br>
Right now, the vibe I'm getting from this is suggestive that contributions
<br>
are not welcome; as you are shutting down this conversation without proper
<br>
solutions.
<br>
IE: The opening of two further requests for a half solution doesn't solve
<br>
it; nor does putting forward "ongoing work" will solve the issue with pure
<br>
responsive design.
<br>
<br>
The current public site does not respond well to a variety of scenarios as
<br>
I put forward before; and I would appreciate it if you ran through them and
<br>
gave serious thought to decent approaches to fixing them.
<br>
I would wager you have not done this; otherwise you'd probably have come to
<br>
the conclusion that toggle/slide out menus are actually a common responsive
<br>
design technique - if you google for it ("responsive menus"), a significant
<br>
number of solutions are based around the sort of technique I'm suggesting
<br>
here.
<br>
<br>
I'm more than happy to hack away on frontend work like this; or contribute
<br>
to other initiatives to rework the UI to solve this problem in a different
<br>
way - I just need a little bit of encouragement and to be pointed in the
<br>
right direction, rather than WONTFIX'd.
