<p>Is there a way how we could do something that is "comprehensible to the vast majority of average users" (the old permalink obviously wasn't, in your opinion, <a href="https://github.com/tomhughes" class="user-mention">@tomhughes</a>?) while at the same time not alienating the "handful of very technical users"? Would it be possible to take the original design and add to that some undocumented hidden hyperlink that can easily be used by those in the know, and doesn't confuse those tho don't know?</p>
