<p>Regarding links versus text inputs for sharing, I think what you said applies: let's worry about that separately rather than trying to pack the entire kitchen sink into this one change. It seems to me that there's a general consensus that this is overall an improvement. Furthermore, it opens up further changes such as the above, which I have ready to submit and discuss once this is accepted.</p>
