<p>How to reproduce the 500 error (I'm using the test environment <a href="https://github.com/tomhughes" class="user-mention">@tomhughes</a> set up):</p>

<ol>
<li>create new account</li>
<li>in the settings use "Add an image" to upload a custom avatar image</li>
<li>in the settings use "Remove the current image" to delete this avatar</li>
<li>500 error :(</li>
