<p>From #osm-dev, I propose three improvements, keeping the "get directions" tiny link:</p>

<ol>
<li>open directions panel with /directions url</li>
<li>when opening the panel (either by clicking "get directions" link or following the url, prefill "from" field with the center of the map</li>
<li>add "reverse route" button</li>
