<p>While the website is in database offline mode (showing the red box on the homepage "The OpenStreetMap database is currently offline while...")   the homepage is still currently allowing "?" button and the "Add a note" button in the right hand menu.  But of course these features are not going to work. The display on the left tries to work though, and goes a bit crazy.</p>

<p>I guess the solution would be to grey out or hide these two options on the right</p>
