<p>The current HTTPS certificate supports <code>openstreetmap.org</code> and <code>*.openstreetmap.org</code>.  It looks like osm.org is hosted on the same server, so the HTTPS certificate should also include <code>osm.org</code> in the <em>Certificate Subject Alternative Name</em> field.  Then shortlinks could preserve privacy as well using <a href="https://osm.org">https://osm.org</a></p>
